Reiki

Reiki is a healing practice used to promote balance & energy throughout the whole system. Reikidoes not involve physical manipulation or the ingestion or application of any substances, but works with the subtle vibrational field known to surround the body. Hands are held over and on the body in various energy centres known as chakra's & replenish these areas on many levels with clearing positive healing energy. If can help relieve depression, illness, addictions, stress & promotes balance & a deep feeling of peace & calmness. Reiki is also a tool for personal growth.

A Reiki practitioner has been attuned to the healing energy field that surrounds us in the Universe. They are a channel for this healing energy to enter the client's body and increase the flow of positive energy. This stimulates and activates their energy system and through these gentle non-intrusive techniques the healing begins. Reiki can be given seated or on a plinth where the client lies down with their eyes closed. The client remains fully dressed and is covered with a blanket for warmth and comfort. The Reiki practitioner will then place her hands on to the client with the intent of transmitting the healing energy of the Universe to the client. Generally they will feels a warm / cold tingling sensation in the palms of the hands. The client receiving Reiki will acquire a sense of inner tranquility, deep relaxation, sometimes a meditative state, some fall asleep and they may also feel some heat flowing through their body. Hand positions used are on / above the client's head, over the eyes, shoulders, limbs and trunk. Reiki energy will flow to the area of the mind or body that needs this energy most. Some clients have found that during a Reiki session they have received insights into issues that they were facing in their lives. Others have found alleviation of physical symptoms.

ALIVE! My Morphed Newsletter

SENSE ABOUT SCENTS has morphed. As an Independent Representative of the Young Living Essential Oils company, many received a monthly newsletter via email, SENSE ABOUT SCENTS. Since discovering the wonderful ONEGroup miessence® line of organic skincare and cosmetics , and launching my FOOTSTEPS IN EDEN reflexology business I've seen what I believe are some awesome reasons for morphing that newsletter into this wonderful blog. Since late October I have been working to bring blog readers helpful information on a variety of health and wellness topics. I've also included links to fun, informative, and educational spots on the web offering products and services I believe my readers will love and enjoy. When I am forced to categorize this blog, it's under health and wellness, but my readers also find posts and links relating to greening our world, family, spiritual matters, shopping, and more. In the last couple of weeks I've learned to offer an opportunity for readers to be...

The results from this Danish research indicate that an astounding 81% of those in the study reported being helped by this therapy. Many even believed it was their cure. Migraine sufferers, that's worth checking out!!!! Was I one of those unfortunate enough to suffer the debilitating pain of migraines and even if I didn't know much about reflexology, after reading this article I feel rather certain I would give reflexology a chance. Also, I love visitors. Stop by my reflexology site, too.

Now a Member - Reflexology Association of America

This is exciting! This week I've officially joined the Reflexology Association of America. Membership in a professional organization like this seemed like someone else's dream. In fact, taking the bold step out of my comfort zone and onto the path of learning and education to become a Registered Certified Reflexologist (RCR) must have been someone else's dream, as well. In fact, in all reality, I believe my personal dreams were to0 deeply buried for too many years to even know they existed. Growing up with little encouragement from the home front to consider anything else than secretary or teacher as a future, I pretty much just made good grades because that seemed like the right thing to do, and received my B.A. just because it seemed like the right thing to do. That was in Journalism. Well, I didn't wish to teach or be a secretary, and it seemed like the next most right thing to do. . . . whatever the right thing is or was. RCR, like many other endeavors in my life, ...
